A common first response prior to purchasing BIG dog apparel is, “my dog will not wear clothing”!  Every dog will wear clothing if he/she is approached properly and calmly. It is important for the dog to sniff the garment first.  Once the sniffing process is completed, it is helpful to slowly place the visor/hat or coat gently on the dog.  If the dog reacts, remove the garment and try again in a few hours. Continue this process, if necessary, for a couple of days. Eventually, the clothing will be accepted. Remember, dogs will react to your lead. If you are firm, calm and insistent, your dog will respond by pleasing you. Be Simply Commanding!
